Aug 27, 2009 · I have a 2003 Ford Escape. It won't start, but we think we triggered the anti-theft feature when we slammed the door, and don't know how to undo it. When we turn the key, the car doesn't start, and the lights occasionally blink on and off inside & outside of the car. We checked the battery and don't think it's bad, but the car won't turn over. Get into the Explorer and insert the known correct key into the ignition and turn it. If you use the wrong key, such as one that was cut to open the doors, the system will remain armed. If the car then starts, then you have disarmed the anti theft system. If not, move on to this: Ford Explorer keys have large black plastic, or molded rubber, heads.2008 Ford Escape Anti Theft Locking device has some how been activated while I was cleaning the car. Hi. I have a new 2020 Escape Titanium. I believe I am having a minor issue with the anti-theft alarm. When I arm the vehicle, No flashing indicator displays on the dashboard.
